How to Apply
If you are an Emirati citizen and you want to travel to Turkey, you need to apply for a visa. The different types of visas that can be issued to Emiratis include tourist visas, business visas, and student visas. The process of applying for a Turkish visa can be a little confusing, so we have created a guide to help you through the process.
First, you will need to obtain a valid passport. You can get a new passport at any UAE embassy or consulate or from any travel agency in Turkey. Make sure that the expiration date on your passport is current, as this is necessary for the application process.
Next, you will need to visit a Turkish Embassy or Consulate with your valid passport. The embassy or consulate will require that you provide your citizenship documents (such as your birth certificate), your passport photo page, and photocopies of all the pages of your passport including both sides of the visa pages. You may also be required to present proof of financial stability (such as an up-to-date bank statement).
After providing the necessary documentation, you will be given an application form which must be completed and signed by both yourself and the Turkish Embassy or Consulate representative. You will then be asked to pay the applicable visa fee directly to the embassy or consulate. The application process usually takes around two weeks from the time that it is submitted.
If you are an Emirati tourist planning to visit Turkey and wish to stay for more than three months, you may need a work or study visa. If you are visiting Turkey for tourism purposes only and will not be working or studying there, then a tourist visa should be sufficient. Remember that if you overstay your tourist visa, you may face fines and/or deportation. Make sure to check the latest visa requirements with the Turkish embassy in your home country before traveling.
