People from many countries can visit India without needing a visa for their entire stay, but those from France and Chile must obtain a visa before entering the country. In 2018, however, things are changing!
France Visa: Requirements
If you’re a citizen of India, France, Chile or any other country and are planning to visit any of these countries for tourism or business purposes, you’ll need to obtain a visa before travelling. Indian Visa from France

Requirements for French tourist visas depend on your nationality and length of stay:

-Tourist Visa B (valid for 6 months): If you will be staying in France longer than three months but do not possess a residency permit or work permit, you can apply for a tourist visa B at French embassy/consulates inside France.
-Tourist Visa C (valid for 12 months): If you will be staying in France more than three months and do not possess either a residency permit or work permit, you can apply for a tourist visa C at French embassy/
Indian Visa from France: Requirements

To get a French visa, you must first apply at the French embassy or consulate in your home country.

However, if you’re applying for a child under 18 years old, there is no application fee – only a €10 handling charge.

Indian Visa from Chile: Requirements
If you are a citizen of India and want to travel to Chile, you will need a visa. The requirements for an Indian visa are as follows:
-You must have a valid passport that is still valid for at least six months after your intended stay in Chile.
-You must be able to prove your citizenship with proof of birth or identity. This can include a copy of your citizenship certificate or other identification documents.
-You must have enough money to cover the cost of your stay and any associated expenses. You may be required to pay a processing fee as well.
-You must not have any criminal convictions that would prevent you from traveling to Chile.
-You must not have been convicted of a terrorist act or other serious crime.
